Planning & Portfolio Consultant

What You'll Do:

As a PPC, you’ll support advisors and HNW clients by accurately implementing trades, and rebalancing and monitoring portfolios. You’ll also work closely with advisors and HNW clients to create custom financial plans tailored to meet every client’s unique situation and goals.

Asset Management

  • Manage cash balances across portfolios to ensure alignment with client’s goals, needs, and investment policy statements
  • Execute trade orders while meeting our fiduciary best practice objectives
  • Work with advisors to build investment proposals
  • Rebalance portfolios according to schedule to ensure accounts meet their asset allocation, duration, and risk targets
  • Communicate proactively with client service associates and advisors on any account-level changes or requirements
  • Monitor non-qualified portfolios for tax efficiency and tax-loss harvesting opportunities and execute where necessary

Financial Planning

  • Work with advisors on key objectives and plan scope
  • Gather client data and build custom financial plans
  • Collaborate with advanced planning team or subject matter experts as needed
  • Present financial plans, educate clients on options, and answer questions for clarity
  • Update plans according to private client schedule

 Professional Development

  • Mentoring by the 4Rivers Investment Committee which monitors, adjusts, and executes asset allocation, investment manager, and strategy changes
  •  On-going training and continuing education opportunities
  •  Financial support for professional development, including certification programs

Quality Control & Risk Management

  • Identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency and enhance risk controls.
  • Manage internal systems to prevent errors
  • Maintain plans, risk profiles, and Investment Policy Statements
  • Manage technology updates and CRM systems

What We're Looking For:

Candidates must have outstanding attention to detail, coupled with a proven ability to think logically and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment, often under time pressure and across multiple tasks. Specific requirements include:

  • 3 - 5 years of industry-related experience, including trading and/or planning
  • Motivated self-starter with a passion for process improvement and leveraging technology to solve business problems
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Strong interest/experience in financial markets, notably asset management
  • A passion for improving client outcomes and adding value
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills paired with a strong desire to work in a team-oriented organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • A bachelor's degree

Portfolio Operations Manager

What You'll Do:

As a POM, you’ll support advisors and HNW clients by accurately implementing trades, rebalancing and monitoring discretionary portfolios, and collaborating with the investment research team. Specific responsibilities include:

Client Service & Operations

  • Managing cash balances across portfolios to ensure alignment with client’s goals, needs, and investment policy statements
    Executing trade orders while meeting our fiduciary best practices objectives
  • Working with advisors to build investment proposals
  • Rebalancing portfolios according to schedule to ensure accounts meet their asset allocation, duration, and risk targets
    Communicating proactively with client service associates and advisors on any account-level changes or requirements
  •  Monitoring non-qualified portfolios for tax efficiency and tax-loss harvesting opportunities and executing where necessary.
  •  Preparing firmwide reports

Professional Development

  • Mentoring by the 4Rivers Investment Committee which monitors, adjusts, and executes asset allocation, manager due diligence, and investment strategy changes
  • Enhancing your skills through on-going training and continuing education opportunities.

Looking for a results-oriented financial services professional who is interested in a long-term opportunity with a modern wealth management practice located in Pittsburgh, PA.   • Leveraging our existing client base to develop HNW referral opportunities.
  • Following up and closing new business opportunities

The appropriate candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree & CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification and/or MBA required.
  • Series 65
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with high-net-worth clients.
  • Entrepreneurial minded approach to business
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel)
  • Customer service orientation with a demonstrated ability to interact professionally with clients both on the phone or face-to-face.
